This is Lilliani and she has Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome (DS) known as Trisomy 21 is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of a copy of chromosome 21. This is typically associated with physical growth delays that are mild to moderate with intellectual disabilities and characteristic facial features.
Lilliani’s diagnosis was a surprise to us at birth, and was accepted and loved unconditionally. Most parents of children with special needs have an inner strength that we never knew we had in us. Therapies, specialists, and doctors become part of our everyday routine.
This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was created to provide free resources and support to families that need assistance. All proceeds go back into the foundation, which are gratefully accepted to assist families through emotional support and advocacy.
